FF Natation license, FF Handi Natation et FINA
No additional license fees (no license surcharge).
FFTRI, FFESM &FFSM License
No medical certificate is required, but their license is verified. However, they will have to pay the additional €15 FFN license fee.
Unlicensed swimmers
Medical certificate less than six months old attesting to the absence of contraindications to competitive swimming or to complete the health questionnaire and attach it to their completed registration.
The French Swimming Federation has created an Open Water license. The Open Water license is automatically offered at the time of registration, it will be valid for one year from the validation date..
The cost of this license is €15, payable once, in addition to the entry fees. If participants enter multiple races during the season, they will not pay the registration fees from the second race onwards. For all swimmers, registration is only possible online via the website: verdonswimexperience.com on the FF Natation Eau libre registration platform.

Medical certificate specifying no contraindications to the practice of competitive sport.
CROSS SWIM EXPERIENCE
Medical certificate stating no contraindications to the practice of trail running and competitive swimming – Triathlon licenses accepted.
Open Water License from the French Swimming Federation
All swimming race participants will automatically be licensed by the French National Federation of French Football (FFN). This license will be valid for one year and will allow you to participate in other events for a full year. The license costs €15 (in addition to your registration fee).
Swimmers' equipment
Each swimmer is required to wear a swimsuit as well as the timing bracelet and numbered cap provided by the organization.
Are permitted:
- Wearing a nose clip;
- Earplugs;
- Wearing a triathlon-type neoprene wetsuit or equivalent for all VERDON SWIM EXPERIENCE races, wearing fins, or monofins, mask and snorkels for specific fin events

VERDON PADDLE RACE Equipment
CE 50 Newton approved life jackets.
Water reserve 1 liter minimum
CROSS SWIM EXPERIENCE equipment
Each swimmer is required to wear:
- a swimsuit
- the numbered cap provided by the organization.
Pair of running shoes, bib holder and 0.5l water reserve minimum.
Fins or monofins prohibited.
Administrative documents
A copy of the requested administrative documents must be uploaded during online registration and submitted at the latest when collecting swimming caps.
Any competitor who has not submitted the documents at the latest when collecting their swimming caps will not be able to participate in the event for which they are registered.
Online registration closes on June 23, 2026 at 8 p.m.
When registering, each participant, or their legal representative for minors, must provide the documents required for each event.
In addition, registration for the VERDON SWIM EXPERIENCE 2026 constitutes a discharge of liability by which the participant acknowledges in particular:
- Having read the “REGULATIONS” of the VERDON SWIM EXPERIENCE 2026 event, which he undertakes to comply with
- Be trained enough to cover the distance he has signed up for
- That, with full knowledge of the facts on the day of the event, it will be his sole responsibility to decide whether he feels capable of taking the start of the event for which he has registered, both from the point of view of his physical and mental capabilities at the time, and from the point of view of the weather conditions that he feels capable of facing.
- That in all cases, both for himself and for his beneficiaries, he discharges Créasports Organisation from any liability for any cause whatsoever, to make his personal business of any insurance and any possible recourse against any participant or third party responsible for any damage whatsoever to him.
All participants will receive a Verdon Swim Experience gift.
